But as the moonpool is generally an unlock well beyond "I have hallways and want a place to build lockers", adding it to any existing base in a particular orientation of your desire is more like metagaming against it's personal prefernces than anything. If you are making a new base, you can at least place a moonpool first, then build backwards. Well way up in hanging over a cliff land, opposite orientation lock issue. "Clearly you are too close to the ground! which is why the long way that risks ground collision more is legal while the short way with less surface contatct won't!" The only way to "Rotate" is via your facing. Oh that's right, Mousehwlee and rotatate keys do nothing. Wow that was easy! let's make it rotated so it's on one of the side panels instead. Even I've thought "I did that because I tricked it into rotating despite the fact mouse wheel and keys dp *** all, right?"įor example! place an MP room facing a wide open expance. I think, honestly, people just trick themselves into thinking it can legit "rotate" due to how much effort and luck is involved into getting it in any position you want relative to a base. I actually had to rotate it before it would attach so yes as far as experimental goes, it is rotatable.

I play strictly in experimental and added a moonpool to my base in my current survival save yesterday. So unless you memorize which way they face relative to the Aurora or compass points, you often end up with a moonpool that you're always having to walk around and around to get to the rest of your base because your character always gets out on the far side from the connector.

Huge QOL issue given how you can't control which side of the moonpool is then the disembarcation side.

Once you're trying to attach a moonpool to a base, it will only attach in one direction. You can start your base building out FROM a moonpool and get it to face different ways by swimming in a circle before you place it, but that's NOT what the OP was asking (and really difficult to manage for several reasons). 'Cause in Stable you still can't rotate a Moonpool, period. Let's find out if you're talking about something they may have recently changed in Experimental vs. The moonpool is ultra finicky about its placement so you might have to do some finagling to get it right. This is false (seriously why do people post if they don't know what they are talking about?) Originally posted by Ginkaku:You cannot rotate the moonpool.
